Driving App Downloads Via Influencer Engagement


The Problem

After T-Mobile acquired Sprint in Spring 2020, T-Mobile has been working to integrate all it’s benefits to Sprint customers, which includes extended their T-Mobile Tuesday app (an app that gives you deals and free stuff) every Tuesday! The goals of this influencer campaign were to (1) Establish awareness of the T-Mobile Tuesdays app among Sprint customers  (2) Sustain momentum and excitement for T-Mobile Tuesdays deals throughout the summer (3) drive app downloads from the Apple and IoS app stores.

The Solution – How we Uncomplicated the Complicated

T-Mobile worked with Access to partner with 4 deals bloggers/influencersto help promote upcoming T-Mobile Tuesday deals on their blogs between June-August 2020 – driving back directly to the app store where customers could download the app in order to re-deem their offers!

Results & Impact

The four influencers shared two rounds of content across channels, including blogs, e-mail newsletters, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest, talking about deals ranging from a free subscription to MLB TV or The Athletic, to a free burger from Popeye’s to free Post Mates deliveries! The campaign drove over 800 app downloads, and garnered over 8MM impressions. Additionally, we drove almost 2,000 click-thrus to the TMT microsite in a short period of time that the campaign was live.
