Problem
Women-owned business make up nearly half the US market, employing millions and generating trillions each year. Yet, three in four women say it’s tough to get the business funding they need.
The Solution – How We Uncomplicated the Complicated
In January 2019 Visa launched “She’s Next – Empowered By Visa” – a marquee platform for supporting, celebrating and empowering women small business owners worldwide and partnered with fashion designer Rebecca Minkoff and the Female Founder Collective to execute a global approach. She’s Next workshops were hosted in Atlanta, Los Angeles, New York, Washington D.C., Toronto and Cape Town. At each workshop, Visa extended partnership collaborations. By partnering with companies including Facebook, Yelp, Chase for Business and others, Visa provided dynamic networking and training experiences. Beyond workshops, Visa created an online destination to provide female entrepreneurs with key information. She’s Next also encompassed a holistic approach on media, digital/social and paid tactics.
Results & Impact
Visa reached more than 6,000 women entrepreneurs and captured the attention and contribution of major partners. More than 50 interviews have been executed with Visa, Rebecca Minkoff, local small business owners and merchants – generating 730 earned articles and more than 400MM impressions.
